New day, new plans.
8 september 2016 - Burgos, Spanje
During our shortest day (12km) we decided to trash the whole plan. Linda's foot problems call for new tactics. The walk went well through some pretty and less intimidating countryside. Most fun was had with a group of pilgrims (Irish and Korean). It is super that our fellow pilgrims are so open and friendly.
Once we reached the hostel we settled in, cancelled as many bookings as possible then reorganized. The distance to Borgos was too big so off to the bus stop this morning, in the rain! Over night the temperature had dropped 20°. Lovely.
Bus comes one hour late with only two seats left, immediately taken by the two locals. So there we are in rain with an Italian lady and a Hungarian girl. Cut to the chase we shared a taxi to Burgos.
Hotel is great just 5 minutes to the cathedral. Sun is just breaking through but temperature is still very comfortable.
Tomorrow is the first day of the new way. We stumble on.
